"Cardinal" is the latest album from long-time songwriting partners Clifford Mays and Michael Corn.  The album - really a double album - consists of twenty songs that span nearly as many years.  The duo took their time, recording sparsely when the moment felt right.  The material reflects on life changes, family, maturity and desire, but never takes itself too seriously to be anything but a fun listen.  The music is acoustic driven, with plenty of rockers and some tasteful forays into jazz as well.  All with great attention to detail, and never lacking the clever edge that has sustained this duo throughout their career.
